About the work
Flowers are a symbol of the origin of life, insight, creation, and hope. By creating virtual nature, Stepan Ryabchenko dedicates it to fostering harmony between people and the material world, offering his own approach to this relationship — careful and personal, in which each person is a conscious subject. In his interpretation, this theme recalls the artists of the Romantic period, who sought answers in the relationship between the human being and nature and saw nature as a reflection of their innermost feelings and thoughts.
The relationship between humanity and nature is as old as the world itself, yet the artist seeks new ways and a language to understand it. This theme becomes especially urgent as the threat of environmental catastrophe continues to loom, largely due to a lack of awareness in our actions and in our relationship with the world. Using one of the outcomes of technological development as a tool, Stepan Ryabchenko seeks to introduce an element of creation into the relationship between the human being and the natural environment.
